About our speaker...
Liz joined the Credit Portfolio Management (CPM) group at KeyBank in 2007 as the Senior Real Estate Market Analyst, charged with developing proprietary market views for the residential and commercial markets. Thursday, September 9, 2010,

Mr. Charles "Charlie" Brown
NYSE and Exchange Structure

Please join us as we launch another stimulating season of high-value educational programs geared to finessing our IR skills and knowledge.
We are kicking off the 2010-2011 NIRI program season with special guest Charlie Brown, co-author of the NYSE Midday Report.

Charlie’s presentation will focus on market structure and its impact on trading anomalies, such as this year’s May 6, 2010 flash crash. Specifically, he will explain how market structure and design are integral elements that have the potential to either exacerbate or mitigate such trading irregularities.

He also represents the NYSE Market Access Center. There, he and his team conduct proactive trading analyses using consolidated information that goes beyond floor transactions taking place at the NYSE. He then identifies trading trends that can be useful to IROs. He’ll discuss how the Market Access Group functions and provide examples of how it can help listed issuers.

RSVP no later than Sept. 3, 2010.

Recent SEC Interpretive Guidance on Climate Change Disclosure

The May 13 meeting will be a panel session to review the SEC's latest guidance on
climate change disclosure, and its practical impact on company filings featuring
attorneys from two leading firms who are active in this area of expertise.

* Tom Hamilton and Mike Solecki, Jones Day
* Doug Haas, Benesch

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has recently issued interpretive guidance
regarding steps companies must take to disclose business or legal developments regarding climate
change. While the SEC did not issue new regulations as part of the updated guidance, they did
emphasize the previously existing rules in this area. The SEC's guidance highlights several examples of
areas that could trigger disclosure requirements, including:

* The impact of legislation and regulation
* The impact of international accords
* Indirect consequences of regulation or business trends
* Physical impacts of climate change

season of programs by welcoming nationally renowned speaker:Dr. Ken Mayland

“The 2010 Economic Outlook: An Uncertain Recovery?”

The “Great Recession” is probably now history, but how fragile is the recovery? What factors are at work to make it a sustainable recovery? What other problems could arise to cut it short? What are the challenges specific to companies? And is it too early to contemplate the implications of the 2010 Congressional elections? All interesting questions, but you must come to hear the answers!

A little background on our speaker…
Dr. Ken Mayland is President of ClearView Economics, LLC, a firm specializing in economic research and forecasting. Ken was previously the Chief Economist of two major financial institutions. Dr. Ken graduated with degrees in economics from MIT and the University of Pennsylvania (M.A. and Ph.D.). He has spent more than 35 years studying the business cycle and providing economic analyses to a variety of constituencies, he is widely quoted by the media, and he has won numerous prestigious awards for forecasting accuracy.
